In the summer, the High Tatras are sought after by experienced tourists who can choose from 600 km of marked tourist trails that lead to magnificent places with gobsmacking views. The trails weaving through valleys up to alpine chalets, tarns and waterfalls are the most popular.

Summer events in the Tatras

The three largest settlements – Štrbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec and Tatranská Lomnica – are “must-see” locations if staying in the region during the summer as visitors can look forward to a varied cultural programme.
